Adama Eats ("Adama Eats," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Adama Eats platform (the "App"), a restaurant discovery, marketplace, and independent delivery coordination service for the city of Adama, Ethiopia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, phone number, email, and profile photo provided during registration.
• Location Data:

  Customers: Precise location used to calculate delivery distance and find nearby vendors.

  Riders: Background location tracking is mandatory for active riders to coordinate real-time delivery status and ensure safety.

• Marketplace Activity: Transaction details, delivery addresses, and coordination messages between users, sellers, and riders.
• Verification Documents:

  Riders: Gov ID, Driving License, and vehicle permits (stored securely and encrypted).

  Sellers: Business licenses and shop verification data.

2. How We Use Information

We use your data to facilitate orders, enable real-time tracking, personalize your experience, and maintain a verified network of professional providers.

3. Public Visibility

Reviews, ratings, and public profiles (excluding sensitive ID docs) are visible to other users. Private documents are encrypted and accessible only to authorized administrators for verification purposes.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Information is shared strictly between involved parties (Customer/Rider/Seller) only when required to fulfill an active transaction.

5. Security & Infrastructure

Your data is secured using industry-standard AES-256 encryption via Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure with restricted internal access policies.

6. Data Deletion & Retention

We retain data as long as your account is active. Users may request full account deletion via Profile > Settings > Delete Account or by contacting support.
